The Daniel Hertz Max Studio Monitor fulfills the dream of the music lover and pro audio engineers. Max delivers refined, natural sound, punch, wide dynamic range, precision imaging and high reliability. Max is perfectly paired with the Maria 200. Mark Levinson formed Daniel Hertz to create audio systems that go beyond any other audio experience. Mark's goals could not be accomplished with existing audio technology and parts so Mark spent the last twelve years with Daniel Hertz developing new technology to deliver on his goal to create the ultimate audio experience. Mark and the Daniel Hertz engineers started at the most basic silicone level to develop proprietary Daniel Hertz semiconductors. The result is the Daniel Hertz Mighty Cat Chip. The Daniel Hertz Mighty Cat chip is based on radical new Daniel Hertz amplifier architecture that enables a single Maria WiFi and Bluetooth enabled chassis to replace the typical audio chain of DAC, preamplifier, power amplifier, interconnect cables, and headphone amplifier. The Daniel Hertz Mighty Cat chip was built to have exclusive internal programmable blocks that run several software suites, including Daniel Hertz Patent Pending C-wave software developed by Mark Levinson. C Wave enables pure analog sound and feeling from any digital audio content, including streaming. The Mighty Cat programmable blocks allows Mark Levinson to personally fine tune the Daniel Hertz active crossovers, speaker tuning and headphone tuning on a level that has not existed until now. Chiara's exclusive design and artisanal components, coupled with the new exclusive Daniel Hertz technology in the Maria 200, enable the ultra-dimensional experience that sets the Chiara system apart from all others.

Max's cabinet is slightly larger than a typical bookshelf speaker due to the 24mm (.9”) thickness of the walls, internal air volume and massive bracing. Max's rectangular black matte finish cabinet is built with the most expensive ultra-dense Marine Grade Plywood for superior bass, punch and energy management.

The Mighty Cat® Class D chipset is at the heart of the Maria 50. It is a DAC with analog power output that has a native resolution of 384kHz. Mighty Cat® has the most elegant and shortest signal path possible, eliminating signal degradation by multiple chassis systems with many meters of cable, power supplies and loading issues.
Mighty Cat® has no audible noise. High output current and low output impedance enable Mighty Cat® to drive all high quality speakers with ease. Power supply regulation, a rare and costly feature of only a few pure analog amplifiers, is provided by a state-of-the art SMPS (switching mode power supply), enabling rock solid bass, astonishing punch and dynamics, and pin point imaging. 3 analog inputs have one megohm input impedance, an innovation introduced by Mark Levinson, which eliminates loading of analog source devices.
